You can say I’m addicted to Texas Country music! My first ever Texas Country concert was at City Limits in Stephenville TX; I saw the Josh Abbott Band there in 2012. I really started liking the scene that day because I was able to get front row and I managed to catch a guitar pick! Since that night I started listening a few bands like Casey Donahew, Kyle Park, Charla Corn, Randy Rogers, Kyle Bennett, Wade Bowen, Stoney LaRue, and Turnpike Troubadours. I didn’t catch many shows that year but in 2013 I got invited to LJT! I was lucky enough to go with people who had suite tickets all weekend! I saw lots of new artist and met most of them! That weekend changed my life! I met artists like Josh Weathers, Charla Corn, Clayton Landua of 6MB, Mark McKinney, Larry Joe Taylor, and Deryl Dodd. I absolutely loved the fact that they took the time to meet their fans and take pictures with them. My favorite memory of LJT 2013 was when William Clark Green finished his show and then 15 minutes later I see him making his way through the pit at LJT thanking his fans until he made it front row and partied with the people around him. Since then attending shows have been a hobby of mine. I’ve meet some of my closest friends at Texas Country shows; I even met the man of my dreams at the Mike Ryan show at Whiskey Girl Saloon. Mine and Tom’s first date was at Frilly’s in Decatur to see Phil Hamilton and Erica Perry play! They are now a couple of our best friends. So if you ever see a tall handsome man following me around at concerts, he’s mine!
As of December 2017 I started working with Scott Moore with InsideOut Management Group, he reached out to me and wanted me to be his partner! I couldn’t let this opportunity go! I’ve always wanted to work in the music scene and this was my chance. Scott is supper passionate about the scene as am I! We are working with some very talented artist like Kensie Coppin, Sarah Hobbs, Kathryn Stredwick, and Jarrod Morris.
In 2015 I attended 68 different shows.
In 2016 I attended 106 shows.
In 2017 I attended 110 shows!
2018 goal: To focus more on helping the artists I represent with InsideOut Management Group getting booked and recognized, spend more time with friends and family, and have days to just relax. I’m not going to try and beat 110 because hitting 110 put a toll on me even though I had a blast conquering it! I’ll probably shoot for are 80 shows this year!
